Jacob Anderson is a Licensed Massage Therapist (License ID: MA107881) and Certified Yoga Teacher, and the founder of Peaceful Pause Bodywork. His work is grounded in the belief that therapeutic bodywork can be both effective and deeply restorative—blending clinical intention with a calm, welcoming atmosphere.
Each session is tailored to the individual and guided by careful listening, intentional touch, and attention to the body’s unique needs. Sessions may incorporate therapeutic massage, myofascial techniques, assisted stretching, breath awareness, and relaxation-focused work depending on each client’s goals and comfort level.
Whether supporting recovery, improving mobility, addressing chronic tightness, or simply creating space to unwind, the goal remains the same: helping people move more freely and feel more grounded in their daily lives.
Jacob’s interest in the body began with a personal yoga practice he started as a teenager in 2001. Over the years, this foundation shaped his understanding of movement, breath, and the connection between physical and mental well-being.
In 2024, he completed a 290-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training through Yoga University of Florida with MyLinda Morales, along with an additional 50 hours of Yin Yoga training under Joe Barnett. These experiences continue to inform his work through the integration of breath awareness and assisted stretching techniques.
Jacob completed his massage therapy training under the guidance of Ann Teachworth, a nationally respected leader in massage education. He has also continued his studies in myofascial Swedish techniques with Ian Harvey, as well as Erik Dalton’s Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques.
A lifelong learner, Jacob is always seeking opportunities to deepen his knowledge and better support his clients through thoughtful, effective care.
Before transitioning into massage therapy, Jacob spent decades working as a chef and butcher. His years in the culinary world—particularly working with whole animal butchery—provided a unique and practical understanding of anatomy.
This hands-on experience refined his sense of touch and deepened his awareness of the body’s structure, both of which now play an important role in his palpation skills and therapeutic approach.
Jacob often compares massage to cooking: every session is thoughtfully tailored to the individual. A bit more pressure here, an extra layer of stretching there, or a favorite aromatherapy oil to set the tone—each detail is adjusted to meet the client’s needs.
